Bernadette's Handmade Jewelry is designed and fabricated by Artist, Hunter, Gardener, and Beekeeper, Alison B. Sweeney in her hometown of Bozeman Montana. Much of her inspiration comes from travels abroad. A piece might be inspired by the architecture of a thousand year old mosque in Turkey, or an Art Nouveau building in Prague, or a silver temple in Chiang Mai. She uses some semi precious stones, carefully sourced, but leans toward incorporating Czechoslovakian glass cabochons made before the press molding technique died out in WW2. Every piece has a history and a story to tell. She creates new heirlooms that embody the tradition of hand craftsmanship over many generations. A sentiment rendered more sacred because of it's rarity in our mass-produced world.
